A warm Rhode Island day means one important decision: What will we do? From a stroll along the beach to a picnic in the park, Rhode Island offers so much that it’s often tough to decide what to do. How about a relaxing few hours at a waterfront vineyard, where you can sip wine, have a bite to eat, and marvel at the sensational views?
Overlooking the Sakonnet River in Portsmouth, Greenvale Vineyards provides an idyllic way to spend a warm Rhode Island day as the sunbeams bounce off of the shimmering water.
Greenvale Vineyards, a family-owned vineyard just outside of Newport, offers a delightful outdoor wine experience, where you can sip on a glass of wine or order a flight to sample several wines.
Bring along snacks or, if you’re visiting on the weekends during spring and summer, grab a bite to eat from the scheduled food truck. Food trucks are generally at the vineyard during select hours on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
You can also purchase your favorite wines from the online shop, or join the Greenvale Vineyard Wine Club. The Wine Club is free to join, but you must agree to four pick-ups each year.
