1. The Cliff Walk, Newport
The Newport Cliff Walk became a designated national recreation trail in 1975. The trail is 3.5 miles of gorgeous walking path overlooking Narragansett Bay. Find it at Route 138A in Newport.
2. Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge, Middletown
The 242-acre Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge is located in Middletown. It was established in 1970 as a refuge for migratory birds. The two walking trails include Flint Point and Ocean View Loop. Combine both for a 2.8-mile easy going walk. Find it at 769 Sachuest Point Road.
3. Rocky Point Park, Warwick
Rocky Point State Park is a gorgeous state park located at 33 Rocky Point Avenue in the city of Warwick. Not only does it offer lovely scenic views, it also commemorates the former Amusement Park that once occupied the land. Enjoy the walking path that cuts through most of the park.
4. Riverwalk, Providence
The Providence Riverwalk is a gorgeous walking path offering amazing views of the city and the Providence river. Watching the sun setting over the city skyline might just be one of the very best views in state! Find the walkway in Waterplace Park at 1 Financial Way in Providence.
5. Blackstone River Greenway, Providence County
This 48 mile bike and walking path begins in Worcester, Massachusetts and ends in Providence, Rhode Island. You can pick it up and enjoy a relaxing walk at any point along the route. Take in the beautiful views of the Blackstone River along your walk.
