As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
Rhode Island has so many unique accommodations, it’s easy to enjoy a beautiful vacation without leaving the state. And since this is a time where staycations are highly encouraged, we recommend finding a one-of-a-kind vacation rental with an interesting history. The Treehouse by the Sea is a perfect pick.
The Treehouse by the Sea is a lofty studio that's located in South Kingstown, within walking distance of downtown Wakefield and a short bike ride from the beach.
This building is actually a former carriage house built in 1901 by Narragansett stonemasons. It may not look like a backyard treehouse from your childhood, but it's right at home nestled among the trees.
Your personal living space is located on the second story, which was fully renovated in 2017.
And if you happen to go during the warmer months, check out the private outdoor shower. It's fantastic. But don't worry, you'll have access to a full bathroom inside the studio as well.
This place is the perfect cozy retreat for those times when you just need a little peace and quiet.
