The creepiest tale, though, implies that a Bigfoot-like creature locals call the Man Monkey roams this road.

More than a few Rhode Islanders have sworn they've seen this creepy creature on this long, winding road. And while this certainly could be people's imaginations playing tricks on them, the similarities in the accounts of the creature are pretty alarming.

Of course, it’s impossible to say whether or not this road is actually haunted, and how many of these accounts are mistakes or exaggerations. Still, considering these reports from locals have been happening for decades, it’s safe to say there might be something to those claims.
