Who doesn’t love a good treasure hunt? When you’re traveling through Rhode Island there are a multitude of thrift shops, antique malls, and other spots to stop and spend some time searching for the perfect item for you or a loved one. One of our favorite places to get down to hunting is the Town Trader antique store in historic Chepachet Village.
The Town Trader has a rich history in its walls. Founded as a trading post in the 1690s, the building is one of the oldest structures in old Chepachet Village.
There is even a whole wall of clocks and time keeping devices that are sure to catch any collector's eye. The Town Trader does an amazing job of organizing their collection but still creating the feeling that you are on a hunt for the perfect thing.
Lighting is also something that the Town Trader has a lot of in every type! From these antique lanterns, to Tiffany lamps, the assortment is truly unmatched.
On top of jewelry and decor, the Town Trader also offers a wide selection of textiles and kitchen ware, both for display and personal use. Look at all the Pyrex!
And make sure you don't just speed right through the doors, the Town Trader has regularly rotating displays outside and you never know what you may find!
The Town Trader is open Monday 10 a.m to 5 p.m. and Wednesday through Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. giving you more than enough time for to hunt for the perfect item. Make sure to take a look at the Town Trader website and give their Facebook page a follow for updates on new items and events!
