There are two types of Rhode Islanders, those who barely notice the changing of the season and those who are ready to decorate for Halloween by the first of September. If you fall into the second category, you’re probably familiar with Rhode Island’s most famous and longest-running haunted house, The Haunted Labyrinth. And despite all the chaos of this year, the team who puts this fantastic spooky event together has come together to make it safe to open for its 36th season, much to our collective delight.
The Haunted Labyrinth is not only Rhode Island's best known haunted house, it's the longest running haunted attraction in New England.
It all started 36 years ago with the goal of encouraging leadership and ministry while providing a scary and fun attraction to the public. Clearly, it was effective.

While you'll see a lot of young people helping to run the show, don't be mistaken -- this experience isn't entirely tame.
While it's typically safe to bring older children to the event and it's more eerie than scary, don't be surprised if it's more intense than you expected.
Building coordinators start designing the Haunted Labyrinth in February, and it typically takes them until July to complete the plans. The haunted house is built over the next several months.
In a year that has been scary for many, this haunted house offers an escape, albeit and exhilarating one.
Halloween is such a fun, exciting time, and this little bit of normalcy will be wonderful.
The team at the Haunted Labyrinth has been diligent with keeping up with current guidelines to make sure this will be a safe experience for the guests and volunteers alike. Some of these precautions may mean longer lines and lengthier wait times… but if you’ve ever been, you know the Haunted Labyrinth is worth waiting for.
