Even a leisurely walk can lead to adventures – and maybe even a few surprises – that we never expected. We’re extremely fortunate to have access to countless hiking, biking, and walking paths in Rhode Island, so we’re never too far from our next adventure. Next time you’re in the city, head over to Blackstone Boulevard Park for a stroll along its gorgeous walking path in Providence, Rhode Island.
A stroll along the Blackstone Boulevard Walking Path, an out-and-back trail that tallies 3.4 miles, usually takes around an hour to complete, but why rush it? If you've got the time, take it slow and soak up the scenery you'll pass.
The trail is also popular with bikers and runners.
The predominately flat trail measures six feet wide for most of the way, which offers ample space for both walkers and bike riders. Dogs are allowed the path, too.
Visitors give top marks for the path, pointing out that it's well-marked and maintained, and safe at night. Just be prepared for crowds, especially if you're walking, running, or biking on a lovely day.
