The only issue is that their popularity can make them quite packed at times, and when you are looking for a relaxing beach visit, large crowds may not be ideal for you. Luckily, the state also has many a secluded beach, and they are just as beautiful as the more popular ones but with less of an ardent following.

This secluded beach area is splendid in all seasons, but keep in mind that if you want to visit during the summer months, the only entrance is through South Shore Beach, which charges an entry fee.
Goosewing is great to visit most of the year though. There are some walking paths and the sounds of the Ocean are such a comfort.
One great bonus of the preserve is that it is a conservancy for two rare birds, the Piping Plover and the Least Tern. Nesting areas may be blocked off in the Spring and Summer months to help keep baby birds safe, but if you have a keen eye you may still be able to spot some precious chicks.
