In fact, you’ve probably made many a memory there. The People’s Park is deeply rooted in our local history, and we’re so lucky to have it.

It's named after Roger Williams, a man who is basically the reason we have Rhode Island as we know it.
This is far more than a park -- it's a historic district that's listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

It's called The People's Park because the land was gifted to the people of Rhode Island by Betsey Williams, the last descendant of Roger Williams to inherit his land.
In addition to the beautiful walking paths, bike trails, and playground here, you'll find some pretty fantastic amenities.

The Botanical Center has 23,000 square feet of indoor display gardens, an abundance of outdoor gardens, and even an edible forest.
The Roger Williams Park Zoo is definitely one of the highlights of the park.
