Lunchtime during our school days, at least if we packed, usually meant bringing a sandwich – PB&J, ham and cheese, or maybe tuna. If we didn’t like what we had, we might trade it with others for something better. We don’t have to worry about trading for something better now that we’re adults and can head over to Riccotti’s Sandwich Shop. It makes some delightfully delicious subs and some of the largest sandwiches in Bristol, Rhode Island.
Locals with a sandwich craving - or who are just in the mood for a delicious meal - have been heading to Riccotti's Sandwich Shop in Bristol since it opened in 1971.
There are several Riccotti's Sandwich Shop locations in Rhode Island. However, each is independently owned. This location has been part of the Hubbard family for three generations and counting.
Sandwich lovers overwhelmingly agree this is one of the best sandwich shops in Rhode Island, even voting its Italian grinder onto Rhode Island Monthly's Best of RI in 2023.
However you order and wherever you eat, make sure you're good and hungry. The sandwiches are so big that you'll need two hands to comfortably hold one.
