Located in the College Hill neighborhood of Providence, Prospect Terrace Park was founded in 1869. The land was donated to the city by residents of the neighborhood at that time. This oasis is referred to as "The Jewel of the City" for its perch above the city and the views that it relinquishes to its visitors.
Take in the scenery joined by a statue of Rhode Island's founder Roger Williams. The statue of this historical figure gazing across the city was dedicated in 1939. In addition, Williams remains were moved from his original grave to a tomb beneath his statue.
