The alpacas are raised for their fiber, and make excellent company for each other and for curious visitors! Be sure you schedule your visit in advance, as the farm is only open during farm events or by appointment.

You’ll be greeted with sweet alpaca smiles when you arrive. Hope Alpaca Farm is family-owned, and you can feel it in the happy environment in which the animals live together.

The alpacas at Hope are of the Huacaya breed. Huacaya is one of the two breeds of alpacas, and like their counterpart the Suri, they originally came from the Andes mountains in South America. They lived in the areas that now comprise Peru, Chile, Bolivia, and Ecuador, and were domesticated by the Andean people thousands of years ago.
The alpacas living at the farm are cute year-round, and you can see how luxe and thick their fleece gets in the winter. They are shorn once a year in the warm months.

Hope also has donkeys and ducks living on site! Adorable animal friendships flourish here at the peaceful farm- you’ll be so charmed by their love for one another that you’ll have to take photos to remember the unique moments you’ll get to observe!
