Put on some sunscreen and pack the cameras, it’s time for a trip to Dame Farm & Orchards for their annual pick your own sunflowers event!
April showers bring May flowers but July fireworks bring August sunflowers and there's no better place to see them or pick them than at Dame Farm & Orchards in Johnston.
When you're done in the fields of flowers head over to the blueberry patches for more pick-your-own fun! Pluck the ripe fruit right off the bushes to take home with you.
The farm supplies a five-pint bucket that you can fill for $15. If you want smaller quantities, there are pre-picked berries for purchase at the farm stand.
Round up the family and head out to the countryside for a day at the farm. Pick your own sunflowers and blueberries for a summer outing all ages will love.
