I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and have a deep love for photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world. Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream!
In Rhode Island, there are so many wonderful attractions to take the kids for some fun. Whether it’s Roger Williams Park Zoo, Slater Mill, or any number of wildlife preserves around the state, we can always find a memorable place to spend time as a family. One place you may consider visiting at some point is Pezza Farm & Garden Center in Johnston. While it’s become a go-to place for home gardeners to pick up a wide variety of plants and flowers, it also has numerous adorable farm animals that you are invited to visit.
Family-owned and operated Pezza Farm began as a dairy in 1947. Over the years, it added a roadside stand to sell fresh produce and a garden center where customers can purchase a wide variety of plants and flowers for their own gardens.
In addition to plants and flowers, this delightful farm also has a wide variety of animals, including goats and horses. If you're looking for something to do with the kids, a trip to Pezza Farm is a great option!
To enter the animal area, which is open from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily, you must pay a small admission fee of just $1. Entry also includes food for the animals.
After having some fun with animals, spend some time at the farm store and garden center where you can pick up flowers, plants, farm-fresh produce, and local products like cheese, ice cream, and handmade soap. Pezza Farm & Garden Center is a wonderful place to bring the family!
Have you visited the animals at Pezza Farm in Johnston yet? Let us know if you have in the comments! For more information, visit the Pezza Farm website and Facebook page.
