Located on the 28-acre Claire D. McIntosh Wildlife Refuge in Bristol, the Audubon Nature Center and Aquarium is the largest in the state. This spot has both indoor and outdoor attractions that are engaging for all ages.
The wildlife refuge and nature center is completely handicap accessible making it easy for all people of all abilities to visit. It is also located right along the East Bay Bike Path offering bikers and walkers of the trail a delightful destination.

The fun doesn't stop at the door, the entire refuge is a living classroom that stretches on and on. Begin the outdoor part of your adventure by taking the easy upland walking paths that meander through a grassy meadow.
Continue onward to a 1/4-mile boardwalk that passes through the stunning marshes out to the Narragansett Bay.
Soak in the water views as you linger at the boardwalk end. With every step you take, the natural beauty is absolutely captivating.
Check out the osprey nest on your way back to the nature center. If you're lucky you'll catch a glimpse of these majestic birds feeding their young.
