1. Ocean Drive – Newport

Slip behind the wheel, roll down the windows, and set off on one of the most scenic drives in America. Ocean Drive meanders 10 glorious miles, thus earning it the nickname Ten Mile Drive. Along the way, you'll pass such landmarks as Brenton Point State Park, Castle Hill Inn, and Fort Adams State Park.
If you prefer a relaxing stroll to a scenic drive, slip on a pair of comfy shoes for a journey along the Newport Cliff Walk. The 3.5-mile picturesque path will take you along the Atlantic Ocean, promising sweeping views of the water. You can walk just a portion of this famous path, or take your time and follow the whole trail for an epic adventure.
Hop on a ferry for Block Island, perhaps one of the most unique places in Rhode Island. Home to Mohegan Bluffs, arguably one of Rhode Island's crowning jewels, Block Island promises plenty to do - from sunbathing on sandy beaches to hiking and biking paths.

4. Beavertail State Park – Jamestown

Certainly one of the many hidden gems in Rhode Island, Beavertail State Parks promises sensational views of the water and plenty to do. Marvel at those views from one of four overlooks; stroll along the coast, and explore the Beavertail Lighthouse Museum.
Enjoy one of the best beach days of your summer in Watch Hill. Exuding an old-school vibe, the beach is home to a classic merry-go-round, the Flying Horses, and a gorgeous sandy shore. Explore the area on foot or bike. A day probably isn't enough, so check into Watch Hill Inn for a cozy night's rest.
6. Newport Mansions – Newport

Newport is perhaps best known for its opulent mansions that offer a unique glimpse of the Gilded Age. Nearly a dozen mansions and gardens comprise the Newport Mansions, and you can visit each, including perhaps the most well-known - The Breakers, Marble House, Rosecliff, and The Elms.
7. Colt State Park – Bristol

Known as the gem of the state park system in Rhode Island, Colt State Park spans 464 acres and boasts sensational views of the water.
