Travel may look a little different these days, but we can still have a wonderful time exploring our own beautiful backyard. While you won’t find an abundance of places to go wine tasting in Rhode Island, we do have a few hidden gem vineyards that are incredible. We’re big fans of Mulberry Vineyards, an old-fashioned winery that sits tucked away in a historic village. Not only is the scenery delightful, the vino happens to be fantastic.

While tastings are only available on Saturdays and Sundays in the slow season, this is a year-round destination winery.
Vineyard Manager David Wright studied Entomology, Chemistry, and Microbiology in college, eventually consulting for local vineyards and planting his own grapevines.

In his opinion, Rhode Island has an ideal condition for growing certain varieties of grapes. He and his wife founded Mulberry Vineyards after purchasing the historical Andrew Brown homestead in Chepachet a decade ago.

Form Pinot Gris and Chardonnay to Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, everything here is exceptional. And if you're not much of a wine drinker, try one of the hard ciders.
Mulberry Vineyards' current tasting hours are Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
