Today, this renovated, historic home sits on 6.5 acres on the bank of the Pawcatuck River along with several other buildings from the same time period.

The first thing you'll see when you enter the Main House is this beautiful staircase. At the foot of it, you can check in at the welcoming front desk.

There are a number of sitting rooms in the Main House. You can relax with a book in one of these comfortable chairs, play backgammon or other board games with your companions, or cozy up by the fire during the colder months.

Since the Margin Street Inn is a bed and breakfast, you'll receive an included breakfast every morning of your stay from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The breakfast room is warm and vibrant.

There are a number of other sitting rooms in the house as well. If you're looking for silence and relaxation, you'll be able to find it.

The guest rooms are lovely, too. The Yellow Floral Queen Room is fresh and bright. It includes an en suite bath with a soaking tub.

Or you can sit in the shade in these Adirondack chairs on the great lawn and watch the sunset.

If you have a boat, you're in luck! The Margin Street Inn has a private dock, and guests are welcome to tie up to it.
