This fairy tale trail, however, tends to be quite quiet, so you might cross paths with just a few other hikers or absolutely no one at all. It’s perfect if you’re craving some quiet time.

Hikers praise the trail for its tranquility and warn about the abundance of bugs. Your best bet is to lather on the bug spray and bring plenty along with you, too.
As with most Rhode Island trails, the path can get quite slippery and muddy after a rainfall and icy in the winter. Still, the scenery makes the challenges worthwhile.
The trail is well-marked. However, if you're taking your pup along, make sure he is leashed. Numerous hikers complain about unleashed dogs, which can ruin the experience for others.
