The Trail In Rhode Island That Will Lead You On An Adventure Like No Other
While Rhode Island is known for many wonderful things, we’ll be the first to admit it’s not a place people come for the hikes. The Ocean State has some beautiful seaside nature walks and even a famous cliff walk, but for challenging adventures, you typically have to leave the state. However, if you’re up for a bit of a challenge, the Long Pond Woods Trail is surprisingly breathtaking in more ways than one.

At 4.5 miles in length with a 469-foot elevation gain, it's considered a moderately challenging hike.

Needless to say, experienced hikers love it.

The elevation gain is slow and steady, but you'll start to feel it in your legs almost right away.

This is a view like no other.

This is truly an underrated and unique part of the state, and it's worth exploring.

The hike is fairly family-friendly, although you may want to keep very young children at home.
Rhode Island may be a small state, but it’s certainly full of surprises. Have you ever hiked the Long Pond Woods Trail?
