While this translates into gorgeous architecture and wonderful museums, it also means that there are spirits lingering throughout the state. If you believe in the paranormal, you might find that some of the places you’d least expect are filled with ghosts. There are plenty of places you may have already heard about, but these 7 lesser known haunted places may surprise you!
Found at 25 Dorrance Street, this city hall is the first of two city halls in Rhode Island to make this list. Workers report the elevators constantly acting as if a ghost is operating them, lights flickering, furniture moving on its own and other horrifying occurrences.
This sprawling Newport Mansion found at 207 Seaview Terrace is so chilling, it was used as the set of the cult classic series Dark Shadows. Visiting this place is sure to be a frightful experience filled with ghost sightings.

This centuries-old inn has had dozens of ghost sightings over its history. It can be found in the charming town of Charlestown at 4115 Old Post Road.

This beautiful old building now houses part of the Cumberland Public Library. Frequent reports of moving objects and changes in temperature occur here and in the surrounding woods. Visit it at 1464 Diamond Hill Road.
