The Audubon Society of Rhode Island has more than a dozen gorgeous properties scattered around the state. Long Pond Woods is a 220-acre refuge in Hopkinton providing a challenging trail that leads to quite a scenic spot.
But as the trail unveils the hidden overlook, you'll realize the scenery was well worth the effort. Breathtaking sapphire water views stretch out before you.
During the fall as the leaves start to change, this perch is a prime spot to take in the foliage. Bring a picnic and stay a while as a reward before you make your way back down the trail.
