Rhode Island is the Ocean State but our freshwater lakes and ponds are pretty awesome too. If you want to spend some time this summer splashing around in clear and refreshing water, head to Georgiaville Pond. Not only is this pond a fun place for the family, but it’s also incredibly beautiful too.
Georgiaville Pond is tucked away in Smithfield. It's a refreshing gem that provides wonderful scenery and is a picnicking paradise.
You can access the water at Georgiaville Pond Beach. This park has a sandy shore that just beckons on a hot summer day.
The park also has a boat launch making it easy for boaters to explore the pond too. Venture out on the water for a relaxing way to soak in the scenery.
The 100-acre suburban pond is more peaceful and secluded than many of the other popular freshwater destinations in the state.
Georgiaville Pond Beach opens for swimming and splashing around on June 21st for the summer season and is open daily from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Day passes are $2.00 for residents and $4.00 for non-residents. Season passes for residents are $20 for adults and $2 for children under 12. Non-residents can purchase season passes for $40 for adults and $4 for children under 12.
For more information on the Georgiaville Pond beach by visiting the Town of Smithfield
