Summer lasts a long time, and sometimes we need a break from our favorite swimming hole in Rhode Island. When you’re up for a change of scenery, make your way to Georgiaville Pond, a unique Rhode Island swimming hole the whole family will love. Even if you don’t feel like wading in the cool water, you have plenty of space to stretch out and relax on the sandy beach.
Spend the hottest days of summer wading in the cool water of Georgiaville Pond, tucked in Smithfield, the perfect summertime destination.
While the pond is a beloved fishing spot, it’s also become a popular summertime destination for beachgoers who want a quieter experience than one of the ocean beaches.
Stake out a quiet spot on the beach, where you can drop beach towel or chair and umbrella. The sandy beach provides the perfect backdrop for soaking up the sun, catching up on a good book, or even taking a leisurely nap.
When the sun gets too hot, make your way into the water to cool off. The beach is open seasonally, so you have plenty of time to visit – and more than once, if you’re a fan.
However, all visitors must have a beach pass. You can purchase a daily beach pass or, if you plan to visit multiple times during the summer, opt for the season pass.
