French fries are oh-so-delicious, but they’re often relegated to the sides menu. A burger, a hot dog, or a steak usually earns the starring role in a meal. That’s not how it works at this Rhode Island restaurant. At this popular eatery in Rhode Island, the fries earn top billing, and for good reason. They’re absolutely scrumptious. Just wait until you see the portions and your many choices.
At Friskie Fries PVD, with locations in Providence and Johnston, the menu’s all about the fries. However, before you sink your teeth into a delicious meal, you’ve got a few decisions to make.
Your most important decision, at least to start, might just be what type of fry you’ll order. Do you prefer the buck naked (a classic fry with sea salt), the waffle fry (no explanation needed), or the sweet cheeks (a sweet potato fry)?
Once that’s all squared away, you’ll have to decide whether you want your fries naked or dressed. Dressed is the way to go if you prefer a kick to your fries.
With nearly a dozen dressed fries, you might find yourself in a dilemma. Are you in the mood for the classic Friskie Fries, topped with beef chili and cheese? Or are you feeling like a Cluck ‘N Hot Mess? (Those fries come with crispy chicken, buffalo sauce, blue cheese dressing, and blue cheese crumbles.)
If you’re craving pulled pork, try the Lil Piggie. Mouth watering for a New York System? Go for the Dirty Daug. Been a while since you’ve had a Philly cheesesteak? Order the Cat’l Call.
Don’t think Friskie Fries has forgotten everyone with a sweet tooth. Tantalize that sweet tooth with the Sin-Fully Sweet. Your fries will come topped with whipped cream and cinnamon sugar.
If you’re a fan of dipping your fries – whether they’re dressed or naked – in sauces, you’ve got a ton from which to choose. Well, 13 to be exact, and they include such popular options as teriyaki, honey mustard, and cheese sauce.
Since fries star as the main course, you might want to pair them with one of the scrumptious sides – onion rings, stuffed ravioli, or poppers. Add a classic shake, float, or soda for the perfect meal.
