You can also visit the Eisenhower House - the home that served as President Eisenhower's "Summer White House" during his time as President. It's open for self-guided tours every Monday from 11:00 a.m.
to 2:00 p.m..
The fort is the site of several events throughout the year, including the Newport Jazz Festival and Newport Folk Festival, where you'll enjoy tasty food and excellent music.
The fort also hosts reenactments, where you can get an even better idea of what it would have been like to live at the fort during times of war and conflict.
