Most of us probably associate a trip to a farm with berry or pumpkin picking, family-friendly activities, and fields of colorful flowers. However, there’s one Rhode Island farm that offers something completely different and totally tasty. This farm brewery in Rhode Island, the first of its kind in the state, is well worth a visit, and chances are you’ll be back again and again.
Sip some of the tastiest beers in Rhode Island when you join a tasting at Tilted Barn Brewery in Exeter. The family-owned, farm-to-glass brewery, founded and headed by Kara and Matt Richardson, has been pouring its own delicious creations since 2014.
If you’ve never been, you’re in for a fun adventure that includes a fascinating glimpse of hop farming at Tilted Barn Brewery and throughout New England.
However, the highlight of your visit is sure to be the tasting. Tastings are held on select days and are first come first serve, so you don't have to worry about making reservations.
Tilted Barn Brewery also features as many as 19 different craft beers on tap. Try a few; find your favorite, and relax on the patio. If the patio’s too full or if you feel like bringing your own chairs, you’ll find plenty of space to set up on the farm.
The farm brewery also regularly hosts food trucks, serving everything from barbecue to chowder, so bring an appetite with you, too. Check out the food truck schedule.
