One of the many perks of Rhode Island life is its close proximity to so many white sandy beaches. And if it’s been awhile since you’ve spent time at Easton’s Beach, pay it a visit as soon as possible. Not only is it a beautiful place to spend the day, it’s brimming with local history.

In the 1920s, the area was well equipped with all the beach town amenities. But sadly, it was all wiped away by a hurricane in 1938.
While the amusement park is long gone, these days, Easton's Beach is a top surfing spot.

There are several great eateries in the area as well as the infamous Cliff Walk. The rental shop, Rosie's Beach Store, has boogie boards, beach chairs, and anything else you may have forgotten.
While the beach definitely sees its share of surfers and swimmers, especially on hot summer days, you'll find that it's often less crowded than some of Rhode Island's other beaches.
