A leisurely loop around the coast is the perfect way to spend an afternoon. And with stellar ocean views and historic mansions to ogle, it’s a fun way to spend a warm day.
Many of the homes you pass were built during the Gilded Age, from 1865-1914.

While these mansions use to house millionaires, now many are museums open to public tours. Exploring the Newport Mansions are a fun way to spend a couple of hours, and they are currently open to virtual tours on their website.

You’ll skirt along the coastline, and pass stunning vistas of the Atlantic Ocean. There are so many wonderful spots to pull over and take some wonderful photos.
