Before you head over to the Rhode Island flower farm, make sure you bring along strong scissors or clippers, if you plan on cutting your own flowers. The farm will provide you with a mason jar for your flowers.
When you arrive at the farm, make sure you stop by the information booth or the farm stand before your adventure begins. You’ll also have to follow a few rules to ensure everyone’s safety.
Running and pets are not allowed. You cannot go near the farm ponds, nor are you allowed to bring backpacks or large bags with you into the fields. A fee is charged for all of the flowers you pick.
If you think Dame Farm & Orchard is fun for flower picking, plan a visit during apple season, too. Apple picking usually begins in the middle of September, and the farm grows a variety of apples – from honey crisp to red delicious.
