Camping season is right around the corner in Rhode Island. With more than 700 campsites, Burlingame State Park Campground is one of the Ocean State’s most beautiful and largest campgrounds. It’s the size of a small town and with all of its amenities, planning a getaway here is like escaping to an enchanting woodland community.
Burlingame State Park Campground is located in Charlestown. The park is on 3,100 acres of rocky woodland around Watchaug Pond offer a spacious campground with more than 700 campsites.
Pitch your tent under the towering trees. The forest setting makes for an idyllic getaway.
The campground welcomes RVs too so you can bring your home away from home right to the park.
If rustic camping isn't really your cup of tea, you can always rent one of the 20 cabins at Burlingame.
Once you get settled in, you'll want to start exploring the park. Stretch your legs on some of the scenic hiking trails.
Or wander down to the lakefront where swimming. floating, and splashing is encouraged. Watchaug Pond is also an amazing spot for paddlers and you can rent canoes at the campground.
The campground also features a playground, camp store, restrooms with showers, and an arcade. WIth other friendly campers nearby, it's like a tiny rustic town bustling with activity.
