We might be deep into the winter, but that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop. Winter might not have as many festivals as summer, but those it does have are absolutely amazing. Bundle up for a fun adventure at IceFest, an epic winter festival in Pennsylvania that you’re sure to visit year after year.
Billed as the largest ice festival in Pennsylvania, IceFest is slated for January 27-30, 2022 in Downtown Chambersburg.
The annual four-day festival, which officially kicked off in 2002, has one overriding goal: To help locals and visitors from afar “shake the mid-winter blues.”
The fun officially kicks off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Courthouse Plaza at 5 p.m. on Thursday, January 27. Guests will receive a free cupcake (while supplies last).
Make sure you bundle up because you’ll have a ton of activities you'll want to try – from zipping down the double-wide ice slide to watching ice carvers create magic. IceFest also features ice skating each day.
If you’ve got a sweet tooth, you’ll absolutely love the sugary-sweet Icing on the Cake Artistry Cake Walk, a cake decorating contest. Purchase a $5 Cake Walk Card; stroll through town to check out the cakes displayed in store windows, and vote for your favorites.
