Pennsylvania’s rich railroad history and the subsequent decline of the industry means there are a lot of abandoned railroad tracks across the state, including routes that have been converted to rail trails. Follow along one of those rail trails when you set off on the Turkey Hill Overlook Trail, a scenic hiking trail in Conestoga, Pennsylvania. It leads to some of the most stunning views around.
Trains once chugged along the Pennsylvania landscape, but now there are meandering trails that pass some of the most breathtaking natural beauty in the area.
Prepare yourself for somewhat of a challenge if you set off on the six-mile Turkey Hill Overlook Trail, a loop trail that has snagged a moderate rating.
Keep an eye on your pup, though, because there tend to be a lot of ticks in the area. Insect repellant is also a must, depending on in what season you visit.
