Nestled in the lush forest, this Pennsylvania waterfall is the perfect place to go when you’re searching for calm. It sits along a picturesque trail and is absolutely beautiful in each season.
With more than a half-million acres, Allegheny National Forest offers an abundance of opportunities to find calm among the storm of life.
However, you'll have to find the trailhead, which is extremely remote, first. To do that, plug these coordinates into your GPS or smartphone: N 41° 27.553 W 078° 58.152.
The coordinates will lead you to the parking lot near the trailhead. Roads leading to the trail are pretty rugged, so be prepared for that.

You'll probably want to wear waterproof shoes or shoes you don't mind getting wet. The trail can get quite muddy after a rainfall, and you will cross a stream at the start of the trek.
Listen carefully for the sound of the tumbling of the waterfall, which is absolutely breathtaking when framed by fall foliage, frozen during the winter, and flanked by lush green in the warmer months.
