Dining out in Pennsylvania just gets better and better with every new restaurant that opens. However, when we want to dig into a delicious meal at a longtime favorite, nestled right across from an enchanted forest, we only need to look as far as Trails End in Pennsylvania. The charming restaurant dishes up a selection of American favorites, perfect for capping off a fun day in the forest.
Framed by lush green forest trees, Trails End Restaurant in Cooksburg is the perfect spot to start or to end your day at Cook Forest State Park, which sits just across the road from the restaurant.
No matter when you visit, you’ll probably want to bring a hearty appetite. However, even if you’re not too hungry, you’ll find such small plates as buffalo nachos and chicken planks on the menu.
After an action-packed day, you might find that a mighty sandwich, served with fries or chips, fills you up. The prime rib sandwich, the jumbo burger, and the Italian grinder are just a few of your choices.
You also have a generous selection of entrees from which to choose. If you’re in the mood for steak, go for the prime rib or the Delmonico steak. Cod and snow crab legs are also on the menu.
Sometimes a hot bowl of homemade French onion soup and an entree salad just hit the spot before or after a long day exploring the forest. How does the steak salad, the chicken salad, or the Italian chef salad sound?
Save a little bit of room for a decadent dessert, the perfect end to a delightful meal. Blackberry cobbler and apple pie both come with ice cream. You can also order a piece of peanut butter chocolate pie.
