What’s your favorite thing about the warmer months? Whether it’s longer, sunnier days or the birds singing in the trees, we can probably agree that the blossoming of the flowers is pretty special. Even if you don’t have a green thumb, you can still enjoy gorgeous, fresh flowers that you pick on your own. Just plan a visit to Terra Farms in Pennsylvania.
Nestled in Spring Grove, not too far from York, Terra Farms welcomes visitors to its colorful fields of flowers to pick flowers every summer.
You can visit the farm on one of the designated pick-your-own-flowers days, or you can call to request an appointment. Either way, you'll choose a vessel or a bucket to fill with gorgeous flowers.
Meander through the fields of flowers to decide which you want to pick. You can go at your own pace, as leisurely as you'd like. Once you find your favorite flowers...
Cut them with clippers or scissors. You can use the farm's or bring your own. Keep in mind that, as you explore the fields, you'll face some uneven terrain.
Your best bet is to wear clothes and shoes you're not worried about getting dirty. You might even want to bring a snack or something to drink with you.
