Okay, all you mac and cheese lovers, are you ready for the cheesiest, most delicious festival of the year? Even if you’re just a casual fan of mac and cheese, you’ll certainly leave this mac and cheese festival in Pennsylvania with a new appreciation for the classic comfort dish. If you’re a diehard fan of mac and cheese, you’ll feel as though you’ve walked into paradise.
Start counting down the days until the Scranton Mac and Cheese Festival, set for April 18, 2020 at Montage Mountain in Scranton.
The star of the festival will be, of course, the mac and cheese. You’ll have the opportunity to try some of the area’s most popular mac and cheese dishes – more than 30 in all.
When you find your favorite mac and cheese dish of the day, vote for it. The vendor with the dish with the most votes wins $500 and bragging rights to the “Best Mac and Cheese in Scranton.”
You’ll probably want something cold to drink with your mac and cheese dishes, right? The Mac and Cheese Festival will also host a selection of vendors serving craft beers, ciders, and wine.
The festival is divided into two sessions, both of which are expected to sell out quickly. The first session runs from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. followed by the second session from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Choose a session then decide what ticket level you want to purchase. Just Entry, for example, costs $20 in advance, and you’ll pay for all of the food you sample.
Finally, at $55 in advance, VIP tickets entitle you to enter your session a half an hour early. You’ll also have access to a private bathroom and a private VIP area as well as 10 mac and cheese tickets and two drink tickets.
