Finding family-friendly activities is pretty simple in Pennsylvania. However, choosing an activity is a whole different story, especially when family members all have their own interests. One thing you’ll probably get the whole family to agree on is a hike along the beautiful Ramble Trail in Pennsylvania, the perfect prelude to a day at the park.
Bring the whole family along on the easy Ramble Trail that wanders two miles through Caledonia State Park in Fayetteville.
The tree-lined path provides an abundance of shade, particularly ideal if you're hiking during the summer. In fact, the hike is akin to a leisurely walk in the woods.
During the warmer months, the path is peppered with a variety of colorful wildflowers. You might want to take the advice of that old saying and stop to smell the flowers.
The trail can get quite busy at times, and don't be too surprised if you're joined by local wildlife - some a little slower (like the fella below) than others.
After you've finished your hike, check out more of Caledonia State Park. Picnicking, swimming in the pool, and golfing are all popular at the 1,125-acre state park.
Have you ever hiked the Ramble Trail in Pennsylvania? Share your experience in the comments! For another short and sweet trail that’s also family-friendly, stroll along the picturesque path to Buttermilk Falls in New Florence.
