Frank Lloyd Wright is perhaps best known in Pennsylvania for Fallingwater, an enchanting home in Mill Run that’s built over a waterfall.

However, just over half an hour away in Acme, you’ll find Polymath Park, a collection of four homes – Duncan House, Balter House, Blum House, and Mantyla House – that offer tours and overnight stays. The Duncan House was designed by Wright.

The Duncan House was originally built in Illinois in 1957, where it remained for decades. To save it from destruction, the house was dismantled in 2007 and relocated to Polymath Park in Western Pennsylvania.

It was meticulously rebuilt and today welcomes guests for tours and overnight stays. A stay at Duncan House offers a one-of-a-kind experience, but it does have a few conditions.

Duncan House comfortably sleeps a maximum of four guests, all of whom must be at least 13 years old. The home has three bedrooms and two baths.

Because it is a historic home, you won’t be able to smoke, burn candles, or have an open flame within 50 feet of it. You’ll have a kitchen with a microwave, but the stove and oven cannot be used.

Stays are capped at three nights. If you’re planning to stay several nights, be aware that tours are held during the day. You can remain in the house during the tours if you choose.
