We, Pennsylvanians, certainly are a diverse bunch. But, we can all probably agree on one thing. Penguins are pretty darn adorable. Those little waddlers in their tuxes often draw us to their enclosures at our local zoos with their antics and downright cuteness. Can you imagine spending time with the little ones? Well, now you can play with the penguins at this Pennsylvania zoo.
Make new friends and lifelong memories when you sign up for a Penguin Encounter at the Lehigh Valley Zoo in Schnecksville.
But, before you get down on the floor for the penguins to waddle around you, you'll learn more about the adorable birds. The encounter begins with a presentation, usually between 10 and 15 minutes, that will provide insight into the care of and conservation issues with the penguins.
Remember, all penguins have their own personalities so you never know what to expect during an encounter. Some may waddle right up to you while others may a bit more reserved.
In fact, the encounter will include the host providing enrichment activities for the penguins - to get them involved and excited about what's going on.
But, before you book your encounter, you'll need to know a few things. Guests must be at least five-years-old and be taller than 40 inches. If any of your guests are younger than 18, they'll need to be with an adult.
