Classic arcade games are starting to make a pretty big comeback, at least with those of us who remember them fondly from our childhood. The classic arcade comeback means we can spend a few, leisurely adults-only hours trying to beat the high score on our favorite games. Or we can bring the kids along to introduce them to all of the classics. This massive arcade in Pennsylvania boasts a huge selection of classic arcade games and plenty of other family fun too.
Pile the whole family in the car and head for Play Port, in Erie, a massive arcade that boasts more than 100 arcade games – from the classic to the modern.
That, however, is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. The arcade also features a nine-hole glow-in-the-dark miniature golf course, a laser maze, glow in the dark pool, and a virtual reality play portal.
Play Port makes it easy to bring the kiddos along and to introduce them to all of the classics of yesteryear – Pac Man, Donkey Kong, and Galaga, for example.
Prefer shooting games? Grab a spot in front of Jurassic Park, Star Trek, or Alien. If you’re in the mood for a bit of racing, find an open seat at Hydro Thunders or Fast and Furious Super Bikes or Race Cars.
All that gaming will likely get your stomach growing. Stop by the concession stand that sells such delicious goodies as pizza, hot dogs, nachos, and funnel fries.
A combo pass is also available and comes with unlimited arcades games on free play, unlimited glow golf, a pass for the laser maze, and 10 minutes for virtual reality.
Play Port is open Monday through Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Or, stop by Friday from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Have you ever been to this massive arcade in Pennsylvania? Share your experience in the comments! Play Port is just one huge arcade in PA. Play some of the 400 arcade and pinball games at Pinball PA, which doubles as an interactive gaming museum.
