Ready for a day of adventure? One you can bring the kids along for? Or, if you prefer an adults-only day out, you can do that, too. The Climbing Wall, an indoor adventure park in Pittsburgh, has been a popular destination for those looking for adventure in a safe and friendly environment since 1992.
Embark on a fun and challenging day when you visit The Climbing Wall, an indoor wall climbing park in Pittsburgh that's perfect for visitors of all ages (six and older) and of all skill levels.
The Climbing Wall, deemed the "Best Indoor Climbing Gym" in Pittsburgh by "Pittsburgh Magazine," features 14,000 square feet of climbing and bouldering.
Climbers can choose bouldering or top-rope/lead climbing at The Climbing Wall. Ideal for beginners, bouldering allows adventurers to climb without ropes as they're closer to the ground.
Or, you can try top-rope/lead climbing. You'll climb higher, attached to ropes and spotted by a certified belayer. The Climbing Wall offers several top-rope/lead climbing courses.
First time climbing or bouldering and you're not quite sure you're ready to try it on your own? Not to worry. The Climbing Wall offers classes (pictured below) for both children and adults.
Children six and older are also permitted to boulder and top rope during open hours. However, an adult must supervise children when bouldering. A certified belayer, on the other hand, must supervise children when top roping.
Ready for adventure? Go bouldering at The Climbing Wall Monday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 11 pm., Tuesday and Thursday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., and Wednesday 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Weekend hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
