Summer’s still got plenty of life left in, and adventure still awaits. While we’re probably counting down the days until the fall debuts its annual corn mazes, we can head over to Maple Bottom Farm, which features the best sunflower maze near Pittsburgh. (The farm actually boasts two sunflower mazes, so you’ll have double the fun.)
See how long it takes you to escape from the beautiful sunflower mazes at Maple Bottom Farm in Dawson, just under an hour’s drive from downtown Pittsburgh.
Planted over two plots that measure six acres, the sunflower mazes promise fun and a breathtaking backdrop for taking photographs. It’s also a family-friendly activity geared toward kiddos of all ages.
Maple Bottom Farm will also welcome several food trucks to the sunflower maze each weekend. Hulls Lemonade Shakeups and Steel City Chimneys are both set to attend, though dates have not been announced.
If you’re in need of a getaway, consider checking into the charming B&B at Maple Bottom Farm. (Guests of the B&B will receive free admission to the sunflower maze.)
Make your way through the sunflower maze at Maple Bottom Farm, open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The farm will be open on Labor Day. (Double check the farm’s Facebook page to ensure they’re open before heading over.)
