We’re absolutely spoiled with choices when it comes to shopping in and near Pittsburgh. From shopping malls and neighborhood Main Streets to strip malls and flea markets, Pittsburgh and her suburbs have it all. For a one-of-a-kind shopping (and dining) adventure, make your way to this small stretch of shops in Pittsburgh.
The Strip District is the place to go for some of the best shopping, dining, and entertainment the city has to offer, and a visit is the perfect way to spend an afternoon.
Stretching a half of a square mile and boasting spectacular views of downtown, the Strip District features an eclectic mix of shops, where you can find a little bit of everything.
If your wardrobe simply doesn’t have enough black and gold, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find a smattering of shops that sell Pittsburgh-oriented sports gear.
Stock up on old-fashioned candy at Grandpa Joe’s then head over to Pittsburgh Popcorn for some sweet treats. Sweet treats and good food go hand-in-hand in the Strip District.
All of that shopping is sure to result in a grumbling stomach, and you’ve got quite a few delightful restaurants from which to choose. Indulge in pierogis and other authentic meals at S&D Polish Deli, or cure your seafood craving at Roland’s Seafood Grill.
Keep an eye out for events held throughout the year, too. The Neighborhood Flea, for example, is a seasonal flea market that involves the entire Strip District. It’s held on the second Sunday of the month from May through October.
