Summer temps oh-so-briefly visited us recently. As we shed our winter clothes for shorts and flip flops, most of us soaked up the warm sunshine. Before we know it, spring then summer will be upon us. And, you know what that means! An unending schedule of events, activities and, of course, street fairs. These seven street fairs in Pittsburgh give visitors a pretty good idea of what the Burgh is really like.
Get out there and enjoy the sunshine during Open Streets Pittsburgh. The ongoing event takes place May through July. On one Sunday each month, designated streets are shut down to motorized traffic. Walkers and bikers converge on the streets, taking part in activities along the way. Open Streets Pittsburgh is planned for May 27, June 24, and July 29, 2018.
Don't let the name fool you. The EQT Children's Theater Festival offers plenty to do for visitors of all ages. The annual festival is held on the streets of and throughout the Cultural District. Children can make crafts and participate in a variety of activities at the many street booths and can watch children's shows at various theaters in the Cultural District. Adults, rejoice! Pittsburghers always know when the Three Rivers Arts Festival has started because, well, it rains. The multi-day festival features plenty of art and music. Explore the festival at its three locations: Point State Park, Gateway Center, and the Cultural District. The jam-packed festival schedule features plenty to do for adults and kids. The 2018 Three Rivers Arts Festival is slated for June 1-10.

For its 11th year, the Polish Hill Arts Festival will celebrate local artists with a daylong schedule of fun activities for the whole family. Previous arts festivals have featured live entertainment, interactive art, and plenty of good food. The 2018 festival dates and schedule have not yet been released.
