Three cheers to Primanti Brothers for inventing a hearty sandwich that makes the perfect meal. How can you not love a sandwich that's topped with both fries and coleslaw?
Fries are a big deal in the Burgh, wouldn't you say? We've got the Primanti Brothers sandwich, and Pittsburghers love a good helping of Potato Patch fries. And, of course, there's the Pittsburgh salad. A delightfully delicious salad topped with - what else? - French fries.
Pittsburghers are all about the pierogi. After all, how many other cities do you know that cheer on pieorgis as they race around a baseball field? Pair that love of pieorgies with passion for pizza, and what do you get? Pierogi pizza, of course.
Of course, Pittsburgh's a Heinz town so you'll find plenty of us eating Heinz ketchup or mustard on our fries. But, some of us prefer something a little more hearty on top - gravy.
