Everyone needs a bit of fast-paced excitement every now and then. If you’re one of those adventurers who loves hitting the gas and racing around a track, you’ll likely want to add Steel City Indoor Karting near Pittsburgh to your bucket list. Boasting one of the largest go-kart tracks in the area, it promises a ton of fun all year around.
Indulge in a non-stop adrenaline rush when you go go-karting at Steel City Indoor Karting in Monroeville, a massive 64,000-square foot attraction that draws adrenaline junkies of all ages.
The facility is located behind Monroeville Mall, across the parking lot from the Cinemark Theater.
Expertly maneuver your way around the huge track in an electric go-kart that features a slew of safety features, including LED headlights, brake lights, and running lights. You’ll also strap into a four-point harness when you get into your kart.
Prepare for an action-packed eight minutes, which could mean as many as 15 laps, as you race against the clock. Other racers will be on the track, but your goal (as is theirs) is to beat the clock.
Racers will either zip around the track in one of the regular go-karts or in a junior go-kart, the latter of which reaches speeds of up to 20 miles per hour. Hit the pedal and go as fast as 50 miles per hour in a regular go-kart.
