Santa Claus is coming to town…but before he heads out on his annual global adventure on Christmas Eve, he’s stopping by the Oil Creek and Titusville Railroad to join kids of all ages on a magical Santa train ride near Pittsburgh that everyone should experience at least once in their lives.
Unfortunately, the Santa Train is sold out for 2016. However, now’s the perfect time to mark your calendar so you don’t forget to buy tickets for the 2017 Santa train and you might want to visit Oil Creek and Titusville Railroad for another of their other themed train rides before next Christmas.
Perry Street Station, serving Oil Creek and TItusville Railroad, looks as though it has stepped straight off of an old-fashioned postcard.
Less than two hours from Pittsburgh, the Oil Creek and Titusville Railroad hosts themed train rides throughout the year, including the Santa Train, the Peter Cottontail Express, and Murder Mystery Dinners.
Perhaps its most popular event, the Santa Train ride runs twice each holiday season, with this season's sold out trains leaving Perry Street Station on November 26 and December 3 at 1 p.m.
Visitors can opt to purchase tickets for either the Coach or the First Class section. Regardless, holiday revelers are advised to bundle up to ensure a cozy ride.
Sing Christmas carols as the train pulls out of Perry Street Station while you wait in anticipation for Santa to make his way to you. Snap photos with Santa and share your Christmas wish list with him.
Stop by the Railway Post Office Car during your train ride with Santa to buy, write, and mail postcards commemorating your holiday journey. Souvenirs, drinks, and snacks are also available for purchase.
