Hiya, Pittsburgh! How lucky are we to live in the City of Champions? Pittsburgh’s a pretty amazing place, a fact to which most people – whether you’ve lived here your whole life or are a newcomer – would likely agree. What makes us so lucky to live here? Well, here are 10 privileges Pittsburghers have that the rest of the U.S. doesn’t.
Pittsburgh doesn’t have the moniker "City of Champions" for nothing, does it? We’re home to the six-time Super Bowl Champion Steelers, the back-to-back Stanley Cup champion Penguins, and, of course, the Bucs.
Most of us go to Mount Washington to drink in the simply spectacular views of the Pittsburgh skyline, a masterpiece during the day and at night. But, we also have plenty of other vantage points to admire that skyline – like emerging from the Fort Pitt Tunnel and standing on the Riverwalk at PNC Park.

Pittsburgh boasts a rich cultural diversity, one that we can enjoy by simply visiting different neighborhoods. Of course, if we want to embrace the Italian heritage, we head to Bloomfield. Polish Hill gives us a glimpse into Polish life. And, that is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg.

We don’t have to journey to New York City or Paris – or any other big city – to savor an award-winning meal. Pittsburgh’s brimming with delectable restaurants from fine dining to food trucks.
A tip of the hat to what just might be Pittsburgh most favorite food: The pierogi. Only in Pittsburgh can you find delicious pierogis made just like they are in their homeland of Poland.

That includes you, too, Venice (home to 400 bridges). Pittsburgh’s got a firm grip on the title of City of Bridges – and for good reason. We’ve got 446 of ‘em, and they make our lives much easier (and sometimes quite a bit more challenging) when it comes to getting around town.

After those delicious dinners in our foodie city, we can head to some of the best entertainment in the U.S. in the Cultural District. That doesn’t even begin to take into account all the entertainment and activities that Pittsburgh offers – from amusement parks and first-rate museums to sporting events and annual festivals.
Okay, let’s make that the world. Pittsburgh is home to some of the friendliest, most generous, amazing people in the world. Three cheers for Pittsburghers!
