We, Pittsburghers, love our pierogis. If Pittsburgh had an official food, pierogis would certainly be in the running. Can you think of a better way, then, to spend a winter afternoon than sampling some of the best pierogis in Pittsburgh? How about pairing a scrumptious buffet of pierogis with wine sampling from local wineries and distilleries? That’s just what you’ll get at the upcoming pierogi and wine festival in Pittsburgh.
Circle Sunday, March 15, 2020, on your calendar for the Wine ‘n Shine Pierogi Palooza at the Hilton Garden Inn Southpointe in Canonsburg.
The pierogi part of the festival features a scrumptious buffet. $15 gets you one trip to the buffet, so pile your plate high with cheddar and potato pierogis, potato and onion pierogis, haluski, stuffed cabbage, and potato soup.
Fill up on some of Pittsburgh’s favorite foods and sample wine from a variety of area wineries and distilleries. Bee Kind Winery, Derailed Distillery, Nova Cellars Winery, and Big Spring Cellars are among those slated to be on hand.
